so im going to come up with a shifter mod for us pull start and bigbear cooler mod guys (w/o welding) using the big bear shifter and shift shaft ... i just ordered the shift shaft ..... i still need to get a BB cooler setup.
i will let you guys how it'll work out when i get the shift shaft (and i will a wright up)
if you guys have any thoughts let me know

This is a stock blaster shifter bent to clear the pull start, it is the same distance as the stock shifter from the peg.

that wont clear the BB oil cooler setup... nor is helpful to the mod im working on

This clears both pull start and cooler setup, I made it for bk's big bear setup... I know it's welded and not really relevant to your shift shaft idea but I'm just throwing it out there. The hump thing on it is just reinforcement where I had to extend it.

The shaft is much longer, but, the other end is slightly longer where is goes into the clutch cover. Idk if it is the same diameter where it goes into the cover, or not. I wanna say I saw another difference at that end as well...

yeah it has a piece on the end for the clutch ... im thinking i could just cut the clutch side down to the right length ... and i think its just held in by one of those pegs on in the clutch cover ... like i said ill know more when it get here
i'll get pics of them side by side

well here's the pic and some measurements Big Bear from the spring to the shifter side 9 7/8 inches and it sticks out 3 1/2 inches from the piece that grab the shift drum to the clutch side is 2 inches Warrior from the spring to the shifter side 7 1/2 inches and it sticks out 1 1/16 inches from the piece that grab the shift drum to the clutch side is 1 1/16 inches i will start by cut the BB shaft clutch side down to an 1 1/16 and then go from there

well i cut it down today and its fits perfect ... and it worked nice and smooth on the dry run now to put it in the stroker this weekend
