Im running a VM38 round slide carb. Looking to get the UFO from thunderperformance to pick up some of the "lag" off idle due to not having an accelerator pump. It's a great carb good fuel delivery over stock and stupid simple to work on.

i really want to try a power bowl or a aftermarket accl pump on this fcr, it never has been "perfect" response wise. its a tad slug-ish down low. may just be the fact that its a freaking huge carb.
i will probably try a 37mm fcr before to long. curiosity is a killer lol

Wall-E runs pretty well with the 39 but if you can find one cheap go for the 37. always worth a shot.

I could never get it anywhere near ridable, and this carb I have now is performing like a champ. A little cold natured, but, I can live with that. I just wanna try the powerbowl for the sake of trying it.

I just need to play with it. I dont believe i have the needle perfect just yet. I will say this though, this carb has done some funny stuff in the settling in of this motor. it went from lean in 50* weather to way rich in 65* weather. ill just keep running it and keep a eye on jetting. it hasnt given any fits lately. going to town tomorrow probably and will get more mains then o i can get it perfect. its a little richer then i would like.
