Cool, let me know man. I've been holding out for a good CDI bro. I didn't even put the Vito's key in mine this time. Greg told me a good CDI would be much better. So what's this thing going to look like, Josh? Is there anyway to disassemble the stock CDI and put your guys in it? That would be cool b/c that way it would look stock, mount stock be durable, etc.

Not sure if you can put it in the stock case. If I had an old CDI i could attempt to cut it apart and try. But I hate the idea that the CDI uses a source coil to charge the caps in the CDI. So mine uses a mag pickup off of the camgear. So that will be an indicator of a different ignition setup, so no camo or hidden setup.

Well I hope you get a prototype going soon. I'll be the first in line to get one of these from you. Would love to see the warrior running again. I have seen where some one took the ignition box and coil off of an old ford and wired it into a 4moto I'm just wondering if that could work on the warrior. Just not sure which timing coil I would connect to it...

I'm not sure how they got it to work? They had to have mad a set of points or something.

I think a guy could take a cheap AC CDI from ebay and make it work to get the bike running again. I have looked at them, cost around $15. I'll order one so it will be waiting for me when I get home. It wouldnt be tunable but it would make spark. Not sure what the timing curve would be though.

By looking at the drawings the 1988 has one more wire coming from the pickups. So the shouldn't be compatable.

Well I was messing around with a ford tfi ignition and was able to get a spark.I Couldn't keep the thing running longer than a few seconds, but I think the ability is there. The spark seems kinda weak and choppy with it out and cranking full speed. Haven't gotten the timing light out yet to see how far the timing is out. Gonna head to the junkyard in the am and pick up a duraspark module and try it
