Myself and some others have been discussing this. I have a plan and and order sheet of parts. Has anyone done this yet?

Did more reading last night. Quite an in depth setup for mapping the timing curve compared to load situations. Added benefit is the ability to add a knock sensor to the engine. Oh and if you want a complete stand alone ignition system all you need is a trigger source.

Ok So I have spent countless hours researching this. And now I have come to the conclusion that I'm going to build the CDI bare bones no extra sensors. I think for now the extra sensors will just complicate development. I have started the parts list for all of the electrical components. Not a large list, I think basic basic model you could build with seven components. Throwing a programmable timing circuit make it a little more in depth project. Just for shits and giggles I'm going to build a bare bones one for my tractors.lol

I have not forgotten about this one. Very eager to get to the ship to build and test a few. I have a Plano tackle box full of components just ready for assembly.

Worked all night at getting a handle on programming the firing board IC chip. Finally got it figured out. Now on to the next step.

So I made some progress on the HV board. I have an output voltage of 837V. The normal operating voltage sent to the ignition coil of the Warrior is far less than that. The firing board is already figured out with adjustable maps, and the capability of toggling between two maps. Hopefully I'll be finished soon.
