These trails are the real deal, no bullshit, middle of nowhere, knarly trails! Okay okay, they can be ridden at safe, leasure speeds, but it's us so! lol.
You have GOT to make sure that everything on your bike is in tip-top shape to contend with these systems. The usual 30min ride around the local woods this is not! You will ride for a good 2 days on EACH system to ride all the blue and green trails. That's if you don't waste time re-riding many of them. So, the bike has to take the punishment.
You WILL NEED:
fully chassis skid
swinger/chain/sprocket/rotor skid or Westons disc guards
good, non-dryrotted tires with very good tread. 6 ply is almost a must have item F/R
0-ring and x-ring chains are best thing to run out there. You WILL be over the tires in mud/water in parts
12mm HD tie rods and absolute must have item!!!!!!!!!!!
Won't hurt to carry extra air filter and outerwears lid if you use one
make sure all induction system seams are clamped tight, and prevent water leaks
stock a arms are borderline. 2nd gen guys are best to ditch em since you readily can
aftermarket shocks will make your ride that much more enjoyable, and much less brutal
working lights! Systems are huge, you can get cought out there at ninght
tow strap is best kept on you or someone in your group
tire repair kit, I used 2 C02 cartidges 2 weeks ago at Hatfield
keep after that drive chain! Make sure it is properly adjusted at every stop, and well lubed in the morining
anitvibe bars or stem will greatly reduce hand/arm fatigue but not a must have
the softer the seat, the happier your ass will be
