This is still in the planning stages. But, this is what I have figured out thus far:
Big Bear 400 crank/cylinder/timing chain & guides
1st gen Big Bear or Moto4 350 bottom end
Have only been able to compare the BB 350 & 400 cranks using pics, but, they look identical
The 1st gen BB/Moto4 use the same clutch cover gasket as the Warrior, thus, the clutch cover will bolt right on to the Warrior bottom end.
Now, that being said, you have two options: One-use ALL the clutch componants & shift shaft from the BB/Moto4 (this includes the centrifugal clutch). Doing this will ELIMINATE the manual clutch and leave you with a semi-auto 6sp, and will shift like a like a UTE quad.
Option #2- Make a centrigfugal clutch delete, re-use the Warrior clutch cover BUT!!!!! You will need to cut out and weld in the crankshaft support from the BB/Moto4 clutch cover into the Warrior cover. However, doing so will reduce weight, and you will retain the manual clutch.
The BB/moto4/BB400 cranks have a much longer right side crank spindle then the Warrior's crank. That is the reason why you need to use the BB clutch cover or take two covers and make one.
Antoher thing I noticed, is that the BB/Moto4 has an external oil line that goes from the top of oil galley infront of the sprocket flange (on the Warrior) to the top of the oil galley in the clutch cover. That oil line is fastened to the galleys with banjo bolts.
Displacement- 386cc w/stock 83mm bore & 7mm crank (same as Big Bear 400)
405cc with 85mm JE
And, if you use a CWR 400 piston (need cylinder re-sleeved and cases bored)
you have a 441cc. Use CWR's 410 overbore piston, you get 450cc.
Again, this is still in the planning stages. I still need to get ahold of a 1st gen BB/Moto4350 bottom end and a complete BB400 crank, preferably with centrifugal clutch and it's retaining nut.
