Read these front to back to help understand the carb. Having no choke or enricher has not been a problem for me. Push the throttle fully once and it will fire up. After the accelerator pump is adjusted the throttle is instant. First on the agenda when setting up the carb is adjust the float properly. The fuel level in the bowl will have an effect on jetting. I'm running the 18E needle and have great performance with it. One of three needles should work on the yfm, 16E, 18E, or 20E. You can find them on eBay.

Nice info man!!! This is really going to help here in the coming weeks when I'm ready to put mine on and all figured out. Can you put up some pics of your carb and how its mounted.... and maybe what throttle cable your using.

Lmao just bustin your ball I have the VM and TMX and Kehin PWK I have to test first lol.. I will do a write up for the carbs too.

If you are lucky you can find a Kit from Edelbrock that includes everything for the installation. Thats what I did(best $100 spent, thanks Kyle). It will include the Motor/Carb boot and adapter plate. The original air filter boot will fit with no problems. But because of the mentality on here I went with a better flowing air filter setup. And have since changed to this. It may be overkill but it is one way of knowing I'm getting enough air flow.
