Thanks to lordtodd2122 for pointing me here! Picked up a '94 warrior last week, in pretty rough shape, but that's ok. Only gave $75 for it, so no matter what I got a good deal! Haven't had time to really look at it and see what's wrong with it yet. Been working on my other toy, '78 Harley Davidson FLH. But that's done now, so the jack is free and so is my time! From what I gather, from the p.o., the pin broke off on the cam, and cam gear just spun. I removed the cam cover, and the pin is m.i.a. Going to start by taking the head off to make sure valves didnt hit the piston and go from there.

It not my first motor, and they all pretty much work the same. I'm excited to tear into this quad and get it going! Thanks for the welcome guys!

You can check he valves w/o pulling the head. You will have to replace the can first though. Just check valve lash and compression.

Yea, but I want to peek in there anyway, see if any engine work has been done, and from previous engine building experience, its just a good idea, and head gaskets aren't expensive for peace o mind!

You got that right! I don't blame you for wanting to pull the head. I just learned a very expensive lesson taking someone's word for it with my R. Lesson learned till next time anyway! Hahaha glad to have you here man. Just so you know we really don't bull shit a whole lot here, nothing wrong with it at all we are just a little more tech oriented here I guess. But take any info you want and need and add what ever you can!
